I snack on chips and salsa. All the time.
I wear jeans and sweatshirts (almost every day).
I’d go on a Mediterranean Cruise, if I could.
I love the book of Ephesians. I hope to write something that beautiful one day.
I admire Moses, especially in Exodus 33, when he sees God's glory (I get to do that one day).
I dream of a day spent sleeping in, reading in the sunshine, and loving on my family.
are three words often used to describe the teaching and speaking style of Janet Ables. Her in-depth knowledge of Scripture combined with her engaging story telling style keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. Her messages inspire women to grasp the truth that puts them on the path to true spiritual growth.
Janet’s ability to weave together Scripture, personal stories, and spiritual insights makes her a popular retreat speaker. Throughout these weekends she touches the hearts of women of all ages with her transparency, warmth, and humor. Her passion is to teach women to know God more intimately and to follow Him more fully.
Janet has written three Bible studies for women:
- Faith Refined: How God Uses Hard Things to Refine our Faith examines how God uses trials to grow our faith
- To Know Him By Name is an intimate look at the names of God
- Love Beyond Measure explores the height and depth of God’s immeasureable love
In addition to her retreat speaking, Janet also conducts Parenting and Marriage Conferences. Through her “Moms on a Mission” conferences she has helped thousands of moms find new purpose in their roles as wives and mothers and has given them the practical skills needed to raise the next generation. She frequently speaks to MOPS groups and she and her husband, Jay, conduct weekend couples retreats and seminars.
Janet enjoys what she considers to be her most important ministry—her family. Her husband, Jay, is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary and their three children, Ashley (18), Austin (16), and Addison (13) make for a full family life.
